We facilitate at the highest standards an education in the Arts and Sciences of Cosmetology and Esthiology. Utilizing the latest technology, resources, and techniques, we provide a strong foundation by applying our challenging curriculum. Meet Our Founder: Mark “Pardo” Gonzales

Beauty has always been a part of Mark Pardo Gonzales’ life. He grew up watching his father work at Pardo’s Barber Shop, where he developed a deep appreciation for the craft. Inspired by his family’s legacy, Mark built on that foundation, creating Mark Pardo Salon•Skin, the largest independently owned salon in New Mexico, and later founding Aveda Institute New Mexico.

Throughout his journey, Mark has remained passionate about education, innovation, and community. His mission is to empower the next generation of beauty professionals with world-class training while giving back to the community that shaped him. That same vision continues to inspire everything we do at Aveda Institute New Mexico.
