Beauty school does not run on semesters. Licensure in New Mexico is measured in state-required training hours, which means your progress is counted in time spent learning and practicing, not in credits. The cosmetology program runs 1,600 hours and covers cutting, color, styling, makeup, and nail care. The esthiology program runs 600 hours and centers on skin care, facials, and wellness-based treatment. That difference in hours is why two students can enroll on the same day and finish months apart, and why the question of how long is really a question about which path and which pace.

Three-Day and Four-Day Schedules

We offer two schedules, a three-day and a four-day, and both cover the same curriculum in full. The four-day schedule accumulates hours faster and shortens the calendar.
